Centered at Azusa Avenue and Foothill Boulevard on historic Route 66, the district's anchor is the Azusa Civic Center — a Mission/Spanish Revival complex begun in 1928, completed in 1945, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002, the only site in the city with that designation.
NeighbourhoodDalton Hill
Named for English merchant Henry Dalton, who built his rancho house near 6th Street and Cerritos Avenue in the 1840s and planted a vineyard running north toward the mountains; the hill still carries his name in city history and local park references.
