Full neighbourhood file →The city's original commercial center grew up around Shultis' grocery store near Los Angeles Avenue and La Rica Street, where Vineland residents met with landowner Elias "Lucky" Baldwin around 1906 and agreed to rename the settlement in his honor.
Francisquito Avenue is home to In-N-Out's original 1948 drive-thru site — California's first — along with the company's corporate headquarters, In-N-Out University training center (opened 2006), and its original meatpacking plant.
