North Barstow

Sitting northwest of Armory Road across the Mojave River from downtown, North Barstow is one of the city's older, more affordable residential districts.

Lenwood

Established in 1924 as ranchland subdivisions, Lenwood grew into a residential enclave southwest of Main Street with housing stock mostly built between 1940 and 1969.

Barstow Heights

A residential neighborhood dating to 1954, built out mostly with midsize single-family homes on the mesa above the historic downtown core.

Downtown / Main Street Historic District

Main Street carries a series of murals depicting the city's railroad and Route 66 history, painted by the local nonprofit Main Street Murals, running past the restored Casa del Desierto depot.

Nebo Center

A former unincorporated community along the Mojave River's south bank near the historic Fish Ponds camping ground, annexed into the City of Barstow in 2001.
