The city's historic commercial core along Citrus Avenue, covered by a Downtown Specific Plan intended to preserve its early-1900s storefronts and small-town character.
Old Town / Firehouse-Jail Museum District
The block immediately behind City Hall holds Covina's first municipal building, an 1911-built firehouse and jail now run as a museum by the Covina Valley Historical Society.
Covina Hills
A residential area in the foothills toward the San Gabriel Mountains on the city's north side, developed later than the original flatland citrus tracts.
Cameron Park / Covina Highlands
A hillside neighborhood where opera singer Ellen Beach Yaw ("Lark Ellen"), who retired in Covina, built the Echo Bowl concert venue below her home on Cameron.
Covina Park
On the park's west side sits the Heritage House, a 1908 Craftsman home built for pharmacist William Wallace Nash and relocated here from San Bernardino Road in 1989 to save it from demolition.
The Phillips Tract
The original 2,000-acre subdivision that Joseph Swift Phillips platted starting in 1882, the founding townsite from which the rest of Covina grew.
