The neighbourhoods

Where Glendora actually breaks down, in the desk's own words.

Glendora Village (Downtown)

Centered on Glendora Avenue, originally platted as Michigan Avenue, the Village retains low-rise commercial buildings dating to the 1800s; the former opera house, movie theater, Pacific Electric station, banks, and department stores have been converted into today's mix of independent shops and restaurants.

North Glendora

A foothill residential area at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains mixing mid-century homes with newer construction on larger lots, many with mountain views; the neighborhood includes the gated custom-estate enclave of Morgan Ranch.

Morgan Ranch

One of Glendora's most expensive foothill enclaves, built up with large, secluded estate homes on sweeping lots with views across the San Gabriel Valley toward downtown Los Angeles.

La Fetra

A residential neighborhood in northwest Glendora near Citrus College and Slauson Park, known for well-kept mid-century homes and San Gabriel Mountain views; it sits along Glendora's westernmost border.

Glendora Country Club Estates

A well-established neighborhood centered on Country Club Drive, developed around the city's private golf course, with mostly midsize homes that command a premium for course-view lots.

South Glendora

The flatter, less-hilly portion of the city near Citrus College, built out mostly in the 1950s and 1960s with pockets of 1980s-90s infill; its terrain historically made it the city's commercial and retail corridor rather than a view-lot area.

Afternoon

An hour at Finkbiner Park, between the errands that never show up on a listing sheet.

Evening
