The oceanfront corridor along Seacoast Drive, rebuilt under the city's 2004 redevelopment plan and anchored by the $22 million Pier South Resort, completed in 2013 on the site of the old Seacoast Inn.
Portwood Pier Plaza
The public plaza flanking the Imperial Beach Pier, home to the Surfhenge monument and a row of surfboard-shaped benches commemorating the town's 1937-1950s big-wave surfing history.
North Palm Avenue
An early-1900s beach-bungalow and cottage district along the north end of Palm Avenue, one of the original tight-knit residential pockets platted before the city's 1956 incorporation.
