Full neighbourhood file →Market Street has been the city's central shopping district since Inglewood's 1888 founding; when automobiles arrived in the 1920s, sidewalks were added for pedestrians and the chain store S.H.
A commercial and residential district in eastern Inglewood along Manchester and Crenshaw boulevards, Morningside Park sits on part of the former Hollywood Park Racetrack site and is home to Kia Forum, about two miles from SoFi Stadium.
A later annexation to the city, the Crenshaw-Imperial district has its own branch public library and a shopping center that has served the area for decades.
Situated north of the former Santa Fe railroad tracks (now the K Line corridor), North Inglewood was reported in 2009 to be home to a burgeoning arts scene concentrated around East Hyde Park Boulevard and La Brea Avenue.
A signed neighborhood north of Florence Avenue and east of La Brea Avenue, Fairview Heights is one of the ten officially recognized districts marked on Inglewood's street-sign system.
In the city's southeastern corner, bordered by Crenshaw Boulevard, 108th Street, Spinning Avenue and Imperial Highway, Inglewood Knolls is a subdivision of tract homes built in 1953-54, with a shopping center built at Crenshaw and Imperial around the same time.
