One of Oxnard's oldest neighborhoods, settled by the Mexican and Mexican-American farmworkers who built the city's early 20th-century agricultural economy around the sugar beet factory.
Downtown Oxnard
The historic plaza-centered core that grew up almost overnight around the 1898 Oxnard sugar beet factory site, still the city's civic and commercial center.
Silver Strand
A mile-long beach neighborhood with a single entrance off Victoria Avenue, bordered by the former Port Hueneme Naval Base to the south and the Channel Islands Harbor inlet to the north.
Channel Islands Harbor
A waterfront marina community built around the city's small-craft harbor, developed with harborfront homes and docks distinct from Oxnard's inland tracts.
