Ironwood Country Club

800 acres in the foothills of the Santa Rosa Mountains, opened in 1973 around two Arnold Palmer-designed 18-hole courses.

Bighorn Golf Club

24-hour guard-gated community built starting 1992 around two courses (Arthur Hills and Tom Fazio designs); larger custom estate lots.

Chaparral Country Club

Guard-gated community of roughly 625 homes around a Ted Robinson-designed executive 18-hole course.

Silver Spur Ranch

Foothill area of the Santa Rosa Mountains mixing estate lots with mid-century single-family homes.

Palm Desert Greens

55+ manufactured-home community of about 2,000 homes built around an 18-hole executive course — residents own the land under the home, a different structure than a leased mobile-home park.

Palm Desert Country Club
