Retired Army Colonel John S.
Nelson House / Garden Road
Built 1915–1918 by Norwegian immigrant Niles Nelson on a 160-acre homestead he patented in 1883, the farmhouse was moved from Garden Road to Old Poway Park in 1991 after the city acquired it.
Green Valley
An area encompassing several distinct enclaves — Green Valley Estates, Green Valley Highlands, Green Valley Glen, Green Valley Summit and Valle Verde Ranch — sited near Lake Poway and the Blue Sky Ecological Reserve.
Rancho Arbolitos
A roughly 750-acre master-planned community near the base of Twin Peaks Mountain, built out to about 800 homes across several sub-neighborhoods over the decade starting in 1984.
Heritage Estates
A larger-lot Poway neighborhood of custom estate homes with amenities such as private pools and tennis courts on grounds offering countryside views.
Poway Royal Estates
A 51-acre, all-ages manufactured-home community established in 1972 with roughly 400 home sites near Poway Road and Poway Community Park.
