Full neighbourhood file →The original 3.82-square-mile city site at incorporation in 1921, laid out by the Olmsted Brothers and architect Irving Gill and still home to the city's historic Craftsman housing stock.
Developed starting in 1927 by Clifford Reid, who modeled the walkable seaside village on the French Riviera and marketed it to the Hollywood crowd; it straddles the Torrance-Redondo Beach line near Torrance Beach.
