Olde Del Mar
Local legend holds that the neighborhood's curving hillside streets were mapped by following flour trails left by horse-drawn delivery wagons; it includes Sea Grove and Powerhouse Parks along the bluff.

Del Mar Heights
A roughly two-square-mile district that was home to about 8,390 residents as of the 2010 Census, making it home to most of the city's population despite Del Mar's small overall footprint.

Del Mar Terrace
Grew gradually from the 1950s and 1960s onward out of what began as a small hillside artists' colony, now known for ocean and lagoon views.

The same eye, as an actual inspection
Reading a listing from the desk is not an inspection. When you are under contract, the house still has to be walked — roof to slab, by an inspector.
