Strawberry Park
One of the three rural communities merged into the 1930 incorporation of Gardena, named for the berry crop that Japanese American farmers grew here on land irrigated by the Dominguez Slough.

Moneta
A former 1887 land-boom 'paper town' and predominantly Japanese American farming community before World War II, Moneta was absorbed into Gardena at its 1930 incorporation along with Strawberry Park.

Western Avenue corridor
The blocks of Western Avenue between roughly 162nd and 166th streets form Gardena's historic Japanese American commercial corridor, still anchored by longtime family-owned confectioneries and other legacy businesses serving the community that grew from the city's Issei and Nisei strawberry-farming roots.

The Ghost Listing Report
Portals can’t show a home’s failed past listings. Every prior listing attempt, price cut, withdrawal, expiration and relist — run it free on any Gardena address.

The same eye, as an actual inspection
Reading a listing from the desk is not an inspection. When you are under contract, the house still has to be walked — roof to slab, by an inspector.
