South Hills

West Covina's hillside district along the city's southern edge, built up mainly from the 1990s through the mid-2000s with larger Spanish-style custom homes; it centers on the South Hills Country Club, an 18-hole course founded in 1956 on 130 acres and designed by golf architects William P.

Cameron Park

A central-west West Covina neighborhood of tree-lined streets with a mix of single-family homes, apartments and townhomes, including the long-standing Cameron Park Apartments complex on W.

Shadow Oak

A residential pocket in the southeastern part of the city, adjoining the unincorporated South San Jose Hills community, organized around Shadow Oak Park and the city-run Shadow Oak Community Center at 2121 Shadow Oak Drive.

Merced

A residential area in the southern part of the city that grew out of former orange-grove acreage; long-time residents still reference the neighborhood's citrus-growing past, and it takes its name from Merced Avenue and Merced Elementary School.

Sunset / South Hills Drive area

A hillside pocket along Sunset Hill Drive near the base of the South Hills, distinct from the flatland tracts elsewhere in the city and characterized by sloped lots and view homes.
